Responsible Authority
In Lebanon, the protection and registration of intellectual property rights are managed by the Ministry of Economy and Trade. This includes trademarks, patents, industrial designs, and copyrights.
The key office handling IP matters is the Intellectual Property Protection Office (IPPO), which operates under the Ministry
It's worth noting that while Lebanon is not a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO), its intellectual property legislation is generally considered to be compliant with the TRIPS Agreement (Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights) standards.
